Message from the Dean of Students

The Kings & Queens Medical University College offers students a unique learning experience that combines a rich interdisciplinary curriculum, an international academic community and diverse extra-curricular programs.

We believe that this combination provides students with a range of opportunities and possibilities for integration in the fields of research and public action, both within and outside Ghana.

The school strives to educate the next generation of leaders in the public, private and third (non-profit) sectors by providing students with high-level academic tools, practical skills and essential experience during their years of study at the KQMUC.

The University College is composed of leading researchers and experts in their fields. The research areas themselves are innovative and groundbreaking, and they place the school at the forefront of academic research in the fields of Pathology and infectious diseases, Biochemistry and Biomedical sciences, Pharmacology and Drug Science, Oncology and more.

Students are provided with the opportunity to participate in a variety of school programs through which they are exposed to the various echelons of the public world and acquire practical experience that will continue to serve them in the future. For instance, in the framework of the school’s internship program, students work as staffers for senior members of Kings & Queens Teaching Hospital or as interns in various Health organizations and are exposed to practical work in the field while they are still students.

KQMUC’s diverse student exchange programs enable students to spend several weeks or months at Affiliate University and Hospital Overseas, broadening both their personal and professional horizons.

Moreover, the academic atmosphere at the school fosters learning and productive partnerships among students, and between students and faculty. We encourage student initiatives, and work to nurture and promote them as much as possible.

I invite each of you – prospective and current students as well as alumni – to contact me or any faculty member with any questions.
