Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine is made up Undergraduate and Non-Degree Programmes 

  • Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor Surgery (MBChB)
  • Bachelor of Physician Assistantship (PA)
  • Bachelor of Anesthesiology
  • Diploma of Medical Assistantship

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor Surgery (MBChB / MBBS):

WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credits (A1-C6/ A-D Respectively) in the following Three (3) Core Subjects; English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A1-C6) in Three Elective; Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics with Total Aggregate Not More Than 20.

 

MATURE STUDENTS who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of application and have successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Sciences, in addition with passing an entrance Examination and an Interview.

Bachelor of Physician Assistantship (PA)

WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credits (A1-C6/ A-D Respectively) in the following Three (3) Core Subjects; English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A1-C6) in Three Elective; Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics with Total Aggregate Not More Than 24.

 

MATURE STUDENTS who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of application and have credits in Five (5) GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to passing an Entrance Examination and /or Interview.

Bachelor of Anesthesiology

WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credits (A1-C6/ A-D Respectively) in the following Three (3) Core Subjects; English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A1-C6) in Three Elective; Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

 

MATURE STUDENTS who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of application and have credits in Five (5) GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to passing an Entrance Examination and /or Interview.

 

Diploma in Medical Assistantship

WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credits (A1-C6/ A-D Respectively) in the following Three (3) Core Subjects; English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A1-C6) in Three Elective; Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics.

 

MATURE STUDENTS who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of application and have credits in Five (5) GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to passing an Entrance Examination and /or Interview.
