1. What is Life and Health insurance?
Answer: Life and health insurance is obligatory for any foreign citizen resident in Ghana for studies. The cost of life and health insurance ranges from 100 USD to 160 USD for one year and depends on the chosen program of insurance.
2. What is "Invitation and Admission Letter"?
Answer: The “Invitation letter for study” – is an official document issued at the Kings & Queens Medical University College in Ghana to prospective Foreign Student. It usually takes around 10 to 30 days to issue this official “Invitation Letter for Studies”. Invitation letter confirms the fact that the student has officially gained admission to Kings & Queens Medical University College in Ghana. A student’s visa can be proceeded at the Embassy or Consulate only if the original of the official ‘invitation letter for study issued by the Kings & Queens Medical University College in Ghana is provided.
3. What Kind of Visa should I apply for in Ghana Embassy?
Answer: All students who intend to study in Ghana must apply for Only Students in the Ghana Embassy of their Countries. Students after getting their Ghanaian students Visa are given 90days to Prepare and Enter Ghana. But you can travel even immediately to Ghana after Getting your Students Visa. Remember: The student must enter Ghana 15 days before the end of "Student visa" expiration date!
4. Do I have to present any health certificate?
Answer: Yes. To obtain "student visa" every foreign student must provide the Embassy/Consulate of Ghana with the health certificate and HIV/AIDS free certificate. On arrival in Ghana, these documents must be submitted to the University to get Residence permit from Local Police Bureau. Attention! If a student has any of such Disease, entrance to Ghana is prohibited! After a visit to the Hospital, student must receive a health certificate and the results of all tests (Be sure to get AIDS, Hepatitis, STD test and chest X-ray). On arrival in Ghana, the universities reserve the right to redirect students for a new medical examination.
